In 1983 after being Honorably Discharged from the US Army I found myself searching for a job in a time commonly referred to as "Reaganomics", there were no jobs! I answered an ad in the newspaper for "Car Salesman". I've been a student of the business for 34 years now, 25 of those years have been spent operating stores.

I spent some time reflecting on my career and the most apparent quality I possess is "I'm a fixer"! If you know me, you know this is true. I dig in, develop processes, own them and get the team to own them. I fix car dealerships.

I have come to realize that a profitable dealership has to have tried and true products/processes in customer retention, con-questing customers in brand and an extremely profitable F&I department. I represent only the best products in this space. I have been personally involved in the research and development of many of the solutions I represent. Terry founded North American Dealer Services in 1989, based out of his hometown, Cleveland, OH.  He is a Notre Dame graduate, class of 1981.  Terry has made a name for himself in the Automotive Industry over a span of 28 years due to his unrelenting loyalty to his dealer partners and incomparable work ethic.   A former Pat Ryan Associate District Sales Manager, Terry brings a unique perspective to the F&I service industry!  Working with every aspect of the dealership, from Sales to F&I to Service to Management, he understands the workings of the auto industry as an insider, not merely an internal corporate leader.   Terry's passion for growing F&I profits is absolutely infectious.  His tenacity and relentless pursuit of profits for our dealer partners are the foundation of industry relationships that have spanned DECADES.  Not a figurehead, Terry is in your dealerships, working with your staff, sleeves rolled up, as an integral member of the Auto Dealer Management team.

Our Team

After attending Akron St. Vincent St. Mary High School and the University of Akron, I began my career in the retail auto industry as an entry level salesperson in the Northeast Ohio market in 1984.  Following a brief but successful sales career, I advanced into management in 1988.  Having successfully performed all sales management positions, it became clear that my strength was in the role of Finance Manager/Director.  Being a consistent top performer for such industry leaders as the Clarke, Ganley, Progessive, Liberty and Montrose auto groups, I have been exposed to cutting edge training and competed successfully with top performers in the market.  I pride myself on the ability to take hurdles in the finance process and turn them into opportunities to increase profits.  My passion in my professional life has always been developing the next wave of top performers.  It is this passion that I bring to North American Dealer Services as the Director of Training.
